Here in Russia we have special day for teachers in October. We had a party for our teacher from Christian school. We сalled it the Apple party. The apple is a symbol of knowledge. I have made an apple tree and have written some verses from the Bible about knowledge and wisdom. We played, baked an apple pie, did some craft and drank tea. Polina has prepared cards with the Apple pie recipe. It was very cheerful time! Look! All of us in red , like ripe apples!!!!

My dear friends! We are here in Khabarovsk! I can not believe that
we have moved! We are very happy! We like this beautiful city! It is a
big blessing for us to be here! Polina goes in Christian school. She
has much new friends. We even did the Apple party at our place for the
girl of her class and our teacher. I have begun my female ministry.
And as I have the master-class for the woman from different churches.
It is a good opportunity to invite their girlfriends to do something
with their hands and to tell them the Gospel! Life here in Khabarovsk
is very expensive and my husband is compelled to continue his work in
Birobidzhan. From Monday till Thursday he works in Birobidzhan and
comes to us for the days off. It is difficult for me and children, but
we pray that the God has given him a new work here in Khabarovsk.
Please pray for us! Please forgive if I could not make that I promised
to you, but I hope, that I can do all when things to rise on their

It is especial people for us. The bride is the girl from mine craft club. Her name is Olga. She started to visit our club 5 years ago. She was very much atheist. When I started to speak about God and His love, she always to feel discomfort and to look down. 2 years ago I have invited Olga to Christian summer camp. She cried each time when she heard the Gospel and singing. When camp has ended Olga accept the Christ as her Lord and Savior. She quickly to grows in Christ. In a year Olga to get acquainted with Slava, his name in russian is Glory :) He is the leader of the big ministry " Choose a life ". They have got married this autumn! We are very happy! The God has save all Olgas life!

Pursuing Joy in the Joy of the Beloved

And what is the church's ultimate joy? Is it not to be cleansed and sanctified and then presented as a bride to the sovereign, all-glorious Christ? So Christ sought his own joy, yes-but he sought it in the joy of the church! That is what love is: the pursuit of our own joy in the joy of the beloved.

In Ephesians 5:29-30, Paul pushes the hedonism of Christ even further: "No man ever hates his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body." Why does Christ nourish and cherish the church? Because we are members of his own body, and no man ever hates his own body. In other words, the union between Christ and his bride is so close ("one flesh") that any good done to her is a good done to himself. The blatant assertion of this text is that this fact motivates the Lord to nourish, cherish, sanctify and cleanse his bride.

By some definitions this cannot be love. Love, they say, must be free of self-interest-especially Christ-like love, especially Calvary love. I have never seen such a view of love made to square with this passage of Scripture. Yet what Christ does for his bride, this text plainly calls love. "Husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church . . ." Why not let the text define love for us, instead of bringing our definition from ethics or philosophy?

According to this text, love is the pursuit of our joy in the holy joy of the beloved. There is no way to exclude self-interest from love, for self-interest is not the same as selfishness. Selfishness seeks its own private happiness at the expense of others. Love seeks its happiness in the happiness of the beloved. It will even suffer and die for the beloved in order that its joy might be full in the life and purity of the beloved.

The last week we had children's camp in our church. It was weekly camp for children from Sunday school. Our camps theme was " The nations of the world ". We studied histories from the Bible when God saved people from other nations. We also to have time for prayer for the different nations of the world every day. We to use good book " operation the world " for children. Thanks for my friend Milah, who send me the fabric map of the world. This year we to have very rainy and cold summer and to not have a lot of game on street. But we played at our church building and did much craft things. It was very cheerful time. The God used it to learn us many things through our children. We want that a name of our great God could glorify in all nations!!!! Who knows, may be someone from these children will be missionaries and will give message of the Gospel in other nations!

Hi friends! You know only some lady in Russia to do quilt. It not usual craft for us. But I to have a friend in other city which love quilt too. Her name Alexandra. She is very interesting person. Two years ago she was on the big ship "Dulos" as the missionary. This ship to have the big travel on the different countries of the world to help people with humanitarian help and to tell them the Gospel. I have invited Alex that she can tell my friends about this travel. As she like quilt too, we to use this time that Alex learned us hand made quilting. We did quilt, drank tea and looked a lot of photo other countries . Alex has told to us about deeply spiritual need in these countries. She has told how God used this ship, to give people hope. Wonderful evening! My friends from Khabarovsk invited me to especial evening for girls. It was the last Saturday. We had wonderful time together! Our speaker Sacha Bikova has prepared very interesting theme for us . It was " Princess - bride ". It to compare any a fairy tale about the Gospel. For an example: each fairy tale to have 1 good begun 2 villain 3 prince 4 come true dream It similar on the Gospel 1 God has created the perfect world 2 sin has destroyed all 3 Jesus has come to rescue sinners 4 He has executed our dream became our prince Our истинный love will present us gold city in heavens, a crown and new clothes! Seminar in Khabarovsk

Dear brother and sisters! I wish to share with you blessing which our Father send to us! The past Friday and Saturday we had a seminar in city Khabarovsk for a meeting with the preacher and the writer from USA Mike Wells. He has Abiding Life Ministries. It was wonderful time when we can speak about ours lives in Christ. We had a big test and an obstacle to not go on this seminar. When we have collected our bags and were ready to go, we to find out that Lily to have very high temperature. And she not has any symptom still. We were worry very much and prayed much and our friends have asked pray about an opportunity to go. We have taken all risk of consequences up and have gone on a seminar. And the God has blessed us. In a train she had high temperature still. But we prayed with our friends in Khabarovsk and next day she had no problem! The God learned us through this seminar and through circumstances too much. Mike has visited more than 180 countries of the world. He bears the Gospel to all people. He has much difficult circumstances when to visit such countries as Africa, Liberia, India. But he accepts all these sufferings voluntary! It was a good example for all of us! Dear friends, sisters and all women! On March, 8th we have a special holiday for woman here in Russia. It is similar on Mathers day in America in November. But we can congratulate all of the woman: mums, daughters, grandmothers and girlfriends. We had special ceremony and the sermon in church and a holiday at home. My dear sisters and prayer friends!!! I was very business these days off. The Lord has presented me an opportunity to be the leader for big female meeting in our church. We to have 30 women from our area. I can spend the Bible studying for them in current of 4 hours. It to be a big the privilege and honour from my God for me. We have good time together to pray and read our Bible. I as to have the Bible lesson the doctrine about the God, belief and a sin. I send you some photo. This sister lived in the street. She had no the house and family. She was the alcoholic. We to have the rehabilitation center for the alcoholic and people which to live in the street in our region. Our church to begin it and to help these people. This woman now lives in the center. She to accept the Christ and her life to change.
This sister the oldest believing in our church. She to trust in the Christ in days of communism and to suffer time of persecution. We to name her grandmother because she has many love to all children of God!

Tonight I did cards for all my friends to send it for them. It was much fun! I write much on English and very to get tired.... I think, that I need to take from a shelf my English language textbooks and to start over again. I know that Russian very difficult to study and it is very similar as Greek (therefore for the Russian student studying Greek very easy!) I to think that English is much easier... But when I to write my letters and cards my opinion varies!!!!.... It is difficult.... For me.... But I to enjoy it because people which I love to speak on this fine English language!

This is quilt for my girls! It is from "Cross Country Stitching" magazin. I cross stitch it some months and to finish to Polinas Birthday! I to embroider under each girls good things of character written in a Bible Gal.5:22-23. It is a fruit of Holly Spirit. I want, that my daughter could remember it when see this quilt!

Hi everyone! My blog is begining! My name is Nika! We are from Russia. My husband and I to work with students. We are missionary to the Far East Russia. We live in city Birobidzhan, it is the Jewish region in Russia. A lot of Jews live here. They have synagogues and to celebrate religious holidays. But many of them do not know the Christ. We have 2 daughters. Polina is 8 years and Liliya is 2 years. We organize many clubs to construct attitudes friendship and to speak them about the Christ.
